Coming is a coaching call where I discuss how to market a paid app using ASO, paid to free and Apple Search Ads. It’s the same advice I gave a friend who ended up 10x his revenue using this exact strategy.

Marketing a Paid App, Paid-to-Free Campaigns and Apple Search Ads

In marketing paid apps, first, optimize your app name by using tools such as Sensor Tower or Mobile Action to learn how well you are ranking for the keywords you have chosen and the traffic that those words are getting.

Then, you can run campaigns such as my favorite one: the paid-to-free campaign. I have advised Paul in this call to make his app free for a couple of days then buy his friends some beer so he can ask them for more reviews for his app. You need at least 5 for Apple to show average review count so explains why I am urging him to do this. Once the needed reviews are in, he can run the paid-to-free campaign where he will basically make the app free even just for a day. The bots will pick it up and it is very essential that you get press for it for your efforts not to go to waste. To do this, you can pitch AppAdvice and BGR. Hopefully, he will get tons of downloads but on top of this, people will also start leaving reviews which you can use to run Apple Search Ads.
