Tips on ASO Beyond Keywords 

The first step is how to make people find your app in the App Store and keyword optimization plays an important role in this step. But how do you get people inside the App Store in the first place?  You also need to optimize your marketing materials like your icons, screenshots and descriptions to get them in the store. After the in-store interaction, you would also need to maximize more to retain your users and gain more money from ads.

In coming up with app icons, Ob studies the icons of apps which are topping the App Store. This is when he noticed that the design trend of the icons is different per category. He would then make his designs to be something in between — emulating the icons and putting in something different.

Monetization and Retention Strategies 

Years ago, money came easy because there are just few apps present but today, everybody knows how to make an app so you need to focus on quality. With this comes money from advertising and in app purchases. Today, Ob focuses on rewarded videos asyou get higher CPMs, is easy to tie in gameplays and still great in terms of user experience.
