Description

Coming up is a strategy call that I did with someone who has an app that allows you to turn your wallpaper into a gateway for discovering great stories. You will discover ASO strategies on Google Play, working with influencers to promote your app and lastly how to piggyback off of someone else’s PR.

Show Notes

Google Play Optimization

One of the things that you need to focus on in Google Play is the app name. Come up with a list of keywords that people will be searching for and re-optimize your app name basing on those keywords. The short description is also important in Google Play so make sure you repeat what you are trying to go after. You can also work with influencers and leverage them to drive downloads for the app. Instagram photographs, for example, can be tapped to share the app. They can deep link it when they share over so that they will be led differently to the app.

Targeting Generic Key Words

Target key words which may not be directly the description of your app but can also somehow describe it and can belong to that category. For the app that we are talking about, for example, Pixtory may also be described as ‘relaxing’ or ‘motivating’.  These key words have volume so these generic words might also be considered aside from the direct key words that you can go after.

You can also buy reviews, with caution, in Android with the keywords that you are aiming for.
