Want to know how to drive insanely low CPIs through Instagram advertising? Well, I got a great tip from my podcast guest, Esther Crawford Co-Founder and CEO at Squad, who shared it during our podcast interview.
1) Create short form content with one clear message.
Videos should be around 4 – 10 seconds in the form of videos or GIFs. Short form content is working well for people and note to use just one primary message and use that brilliantly.
2) Target smaller markets
Going towards big cities are expensive plus going for smaller markets lets you create more network effect. Smaller communities are more likely to be on one app at the same time and share it with each other.
3) Advertise as a promoted post
A promoted post is simply one that comes from your page. You’re promoting to your audience and she found out this works better than just targeting random people. Esther did a promoted post rather than a typical ad (test on your own to see which one works better for you) and she was able to get that network effect and drive CPI as a low as $.20.
