About the Episode

How do you know if your idea is worth pursuing. Well listen to how today’s guest validated his app idea using Adwords and why he used two landing pages instead of one. Also, listen to the clever way they are monetizing the app.

Omri Shor is the Founder and CEO of MediSafe.

Show Notes

When MediSafe was just an idea and have not been translated into an app, Omri’s team built a website sharing MediSafe’s vision and went with Adwords to get people in. They tracked how many people got in and how many actually signed up. In this way, they were able to check if their message came through and that they had enough conversion to pursue their idea.

During this process, they have used two landing pages, one with the app that helps you manage your medication and the other was built with a social component. The latter was the one which converted better and they took these results with them when they decided to pursue the project.

Monetizing Their App

The team works with pharmaceutical manufacturers by presenting them MediSafe’s vision and letting them in on the data they have collected. They give them access to analytics and present that as a report to get them excited and end up working with them. The aim is to ensure their patients take their medications on time so everyone benefits from it.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to build a mobile app?

Work around the idea, validate, listen to feedback and don’t mind sharing your idea from Day 1.
